Job Description:
Tower Climber - Entry Level
General Purpose
The Tower Technician position is part of a team that actively maintains the Company's network infrastructure including wired and wireless backhaul and distribution; installation of new distribution access points and preventative maintenance of Internet Protocol (IP) network components. This position is also responsible for the proactive monitoring and correction of network related issues. As well as responsible for the initial setup of high speed Internet service for customers. This position also troubleshoots and repairs high speed wireless Internet service for customers.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
? Climbing and working on communications towers and roofs for the purpose of installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems equipment; performs tower maintenance under close supervision
? Analyzing situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action
? Knowing the hazards associated with tower climbing, construction equipment, and working on or near energized lines and equipment
? The ability to climb tall structures (100 feet or more) with 50 lb. load
? Following instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action
? Recognizing safety hazards and performing duties in a safe manner
? Work with other superintendents and vendors on projects
? Fill out project and/or service call paperwork as required
? Align and install microwave, LTE, wifi, and wimax antennas
? Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
? High school diploma/GED required
? Must pass a background check
? Successfully complete Com Train or equivalent certification in Tower Climbing Safety and Rescue
? Basic understanding of IP networking
? Applicant/Employee weight and tools combined may not exceed 280-pound weight limit as specified by the manufacturer of safety equipment
? Experience reading and understanding spec sheets
? RF Awareness, replacement and maintenance i.e. coax, jumpers, , connectors and weatherproofing
? Highly organized and be able to effectively report verbally and written reports back to the Tower Supervisor
? Working knowledge of basic hand tools, mechanical equipment, and electro-mechanical equipment
? Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
? Must be able to lift 75lbs

Work Week
? Full time status - 40
hours per week
? Work hours will vary depending on project need (some after hours and weekends)
? Travel out of town will be required on most jobs
Compensation
? $14
entry level pay with possibility of pay increase based on qualifications and performance
? Quarterly bonus program based on performance for full time employees
? One week of paid vacation for full time employees after first year of employment is completed
? One paid sick day per quarter is accrued after 90 days of employment
? Six (6) paid holidays for full time employees - New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas DayEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
